Newsletter Spotlight

New Volunteer to YFTL Board, Sean Williams of Ireland-Jones & Williams ltd, whose company creates Brand ID and Image through Design. YFTL is pleased to have Sean on the Board as he brings valuable marketing knowledge and experience. Sean is currently building a new website which will be going live soon! Thank you Sean!

After an extensive vetting by Margaret Ainslie Quality Reviewer for OCN North West of YFTL policies, procedures and documentation Accredited Centre Status has been awarded. Phil Marchant (YFTL Manager) said; “This is good news and demonstrates that YFTL are a quality organization committed to providing a total service for our clients”.
 

Young People gain Youth Achievement Award!

YFTL has just completed four projects on behalf of the Solar School in Leasowe on Healthy Lifestyles with young people at risk of being excluded from school. 16 of the young people achieved the “Youth Challenge Bronze Award”. YFTL is arranging a Celebration Event to mark the young peoples commitment and involvement in this alternative curriculum project. Solar School are extremely pleased with the results this project has delivered. Well done to all!
YFTL were invited to do a presentation at the Greater Merseyside Learning Providers Forum monthly meeting at the end of January which was well received with some very positive feedback.
 

NVQ Assessments

YFTL is currently assessing NVQ’s in Youth Work on behalf of Cheshire County Council Youth Service, with students making good progress and due from completion in September this year.

YFTL have recently commenced NVQ assessment on behalf of Wirral Youth & Play Services at Level 2 and 3 in Youth Work.

  

Commendation From ABC

External verifier Carol Bull from ABC said in her recent quality audit report on CCCYS’s NVQ Level 3 in Youth Work “The course appears to be well organised and has committed staff members. The relationship and involvement of the Federation (YFTL) appears to add very positively to the course.”
