NVQ Assessors Training

YFTL are looking to train 6 staff to become Assessors of NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Youth Work.

The assessors training will run alongside the new intake of NVQ students and the staff should have completed their training by the middle of next year.

New Developments!

YFTL have been developing the training portfolio and are now able to offer accreditation for more Child Protection and Safeguarding courses through Educare. YFTL is working to enable participants to progress from child protection awareness through to a compatible vocationally related qualification at QCA level 3 being offered by City & Guilds.

YFTL have also developed training to support the Educare accreditation for Child Protection in Education, Sport and Safe Recruitment.

The quality of YFTL training which supports these qualifications ensures that there is a full understanding of child protection, how that relates to the environments participants work or volunteer in. The pass rate is high with the existing child protection courses YFTL deliver. The expectation of the new courses and accreditation is to continue in that success.

Projects

More Healthy Lifestyle projects have been commissioned by the schools on the Wirral for 2007/08 semesters for young people at risk of exclusion from education. The success of the project YFTL delivered for the schools last semester as seen the promotion of them by the young people who attended to their peers, praise indeed!

Consultancy

CWDC

YFTL recently completed a national research project for VCS Engage commissioned by CWDC on, “contracting and service delivery of children’s services in the voluntary and community sector”. The report was submitted in August and YFTL would like to thank people and organisations who took part in the research. The findings will be made public in the near future
