Introduction

What is Participation? And what are the benefits of involving young people in projects and activities both for the young people themselves and for the organisations they participate in.

This training session is aimed at new groups who want to look at involving young people from the outset of a project and involves practical exercises looking at what young people can offer and how to go about approaching young people.

This session is also suitable for established groups who want to explore involving young people more fully in their projects and organisations. The session examines processes that can cause barriers to participation. It is an interactive session that shares experiences and culminates in a practical exercise on planning an activity that involves full participation of young people.
